Tina Limbu is a visual artist who specialises in oil paintings and multimedia pieces, including sculptures and garments. She spent her childhood in Nepal and then moved to the UK at the age of 8, leading to her current base in London.
Her works are autobiographical and explore the richness of her multicultural experiences. They are often self-referential, with the same motifs appearing in different pieces to push the narrative further.
Immigrating to a different country at such a young age after having already established an identity in the home country has brought up many questions surrounding beliefs, customs, and sense of self. Her art explores and documents the journey of grappling with these questions and the intangible places that it leads to.
